Driving all the way from Christchurch, you will pass across Lake Tekapo if you are heading towards Mount Cook. In my lifetime, I have never seen anything this amazingly beautiful and it was one of those many 'Nat Geo' moments that one can expect to encounter if you are going on a road trip around New Zealand.
Can't agree more. Lake Tekapo is indeed dreamlike! Did you look down from the obervatory where you can see the nearby Lake Alexandria as well which has a different blue. Simply amazing!

Oh there's an observatory? Unfortunately, we were there for a quick pitstop so didn't really get to wander around for that long.I must say, if there's a chance in the future I will certainly be back to South Island, New Zealand. You can never get enough of the place. :)
